Galvanized Steel Wire Rope is a flexible load-bearing component made by coating high-quality carbon steel wires with a zinc layer and then twisting them together. Its core advantages include excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, flexibility, and wear resistance. It is suitable for harsh working environments such as humidity, salt spray, acid, and alkaline conditions.


Core Processes and Classifications

• Hot-Dip Galvanizing (Hot-Dip Zinc Coating)

The steel wire is immersed in molten zinc at 450–480°C. The zinc coating is thick (30–60μm) with strong adhesion and salt spray resistance exceeding 1000 hours. It is suitable for severe corrosion environments such as marine engineering and chemical industries.

• Electro-Galvanizing (Cold Galvanizing)

The zinc coating is formed through an electroplating process. The zinc layer is thinner (5–15μm) with a smooth surface finish and lower cost. It is suitable for indoor applications and mild corrosion environments.
